Ingredients :
° 3 cups all-purpose flour
° 3 cups of granulated sugar
° 1½ cups unsweetened cocoa powder
° 1 tablespoon baking soda
° 1½ teaspoons baking powder
° 1½ teaspoons of salt
° 4 large eggs
° 1½ cups of buttermilk
° 1½ cup warm water
° ½ cup vegetable oil
° 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
*Instructions :
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Butter three 9-
thumb cake rounds. Sprinkle with flour and pat
excess. (see cooking lesson below) Mix
set flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking
powder and salt in a stand mixer on low
speed until they are combined.
Add the eggs, buttermilk, lukewarm water, oil and
vanilla. Beat on medium speed until smooth.
It should only take a few minutes.
Divide the batter into the three molds. Cook for
30-35 minutes until the cake meets the
toothpick test (poke in a toothpick and it comes
own).
Cool on wire racks for 15 minutes then flip
place the cakes on the racks and let cool
completely.F rost with your favorite icing
