Pizza is one of those meals that just about everyone can agree on. Carbs, sauce, and cheese– what more could you want? Pizza has taken many different forms over the years and one of the best variations just might be the pizza stick. These were served in my school cafeteria growing up and it was hands down everyone’s favorite option. Feeling a bit nostalgic, I decided to make my own version at home, and let me say, they knocked it out of the park.
This recipe couldn’t be much easier to put together. By using store-bought pizza dough you can have these babies in the oven in a matter of minutes. Slice the dough into rectangles then layer a few pepperoni and a mozzarella cheese stick in the center of each one. Roll them tightly and carefully seal the edges so the cheese doesn’t melt out. You’ll then brush the outside with some herb butter and pop them in the oven for about 12 minutes.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 (13.80 oz) can pizza dough
- 6 oz pepperoni slices
- 8 mozzarella cheese sticks
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
