Rapid Rise Skillet Rolls
°1 tbsp instant dry yeast
°1 cup warm water
°1/4 cup honey
°1/4 cup salted butter dissolved
°1 teaspoon salt
°1 large egg
°2 1/2 to 3 meticulous cups for all purposes
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
In a large mixing bowl, mix the yeast, water and honey. Add the melted butter, salt and eggs until combined.
Slowly add the flour, 1 cup at a time, until the dough forms into a ball and easily withdraws from the sides of the mixing bowl.
Split into 12 equal pieces and shaped into balls. Place in a 12-inch cast iron frying pan. Cover and let rise 20 minutes, or until doubled in size.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Brush with another tablespoon of melted butter if desired.
